Before you get any ideas about a deep affinity between Rennes and Celtic - the Bhoys from Glasgow - there is a simpler reason for Celtic Park to make the shortlist.
Rennes is in Brittany, a Celtic region in France.
The closing date for the vote is June 9 so there is plenty of time for Celtic fans to influence events.
There is, however, a fourth option. Stade Rennais still may name the stadium after their former coach, Jean Prouff, who led them to French Cup success in 1965 and 1971.
Prouff was not keen on the idea when he was alive but he passed away in 2008 and his nephew has indicated that the family would be open to it.
