Celtic striker Adam Idah has not enjoyed the best start to the new season, coming in for a rake of criticism from fans.
However, it can be argued that some of it is unwarranted, given his form last season which saw him bag 16 goals in the Scottish Premiership and Champions League.
It has now been reported by Football Insider that Championship side Swansea are in 'advanced talks' with the Bhoys to sign the Ireland ace for a 'multi-million fee'.
The move would send the Cork man back to England and to the same league as his old club Norwich, whom he played for as a youth and until he signed for Celtic in 2024.
Learning of the news, Swansea fans are skeptical over the move, and have been voicing their concerns on social media.
One fan wrote: “Not sure either, but there’s a player there."
Another added: “It’s just gone badly wrong for him at Celtic. A new start might work. He fits the profile of what we need, big and strong. It doesn’t excite me but neither does it cause me too much concern.”
This supporter was harsher, saying: “If we’re shipping Vipotnik for Adam Idah I’ve quite frankly lost all faith in this football club. Kone, Carlos, etc, I understand, but Idah?”
Speaking at the end of last season, Idah was bullish as he hit back at critics.
He said: “It’s been a really good season so far. I am on 19 goals now, which is really good. I have said it before, for the minutes I have played, to get 19 goals is unbelievable. I think a lot of people forget that. I am confident in myself. There are a lot of things that I think I do for the team that help a lot. I am really pleased."

“When I do work with the analytics and some of the staff, there are a lot of things that I think I can bring to the game. Some unselfish runs that I make will create space for other players. I think a lot of that will go unnoticed. I get it, fans aren’t going to be looking at that, they want to see goals, but I am here to help the team, at the end of the day. It’s a big bonus when I do so – it can be frustrating, at times, but at the end of the day, it’s helping the team."
