Alex Scott opened up about her 'secret' eight-year relationship with a football star.
Scott is taking part in this year's I'm A Celebrity, and has said it will be hard to be away from her current partner, singer Jess Glynne.
However, Glynne isn't the only famous face Scott has dated.
In her memoir How (Not) To Be Strong, Scott revealed that she had been in a relationship with her Arsenal teammate for eight years.
The star played for the Gunners from 2002 to 2004, and then again from 2005 to 2009, and once again from 2012 to 2018.
When she returned for her second stint at the club, she met Kelly Smith, who is England's second-highest female goalscorer and is widely regarded as one of the all-time greats.
The pair moved to America together to play for Boston Breakers, but then moved back to Arsenal after the women's league was suspended.
Scott admitted that she ‘fell in love’ with Smith, and the pair had an eight-year relationship that was hidden from public knowledge.
“I'm writing this book and I want to tell everything. I thought I'd be cheating you all if I didn't put that in there," she told Mirror Football when the book was released.
She said she was ‘madly and deeply in love’ with Smith, adding: “Yes, there's that heartbreak and those things, but it's a huge part of my life and I wouldn't go back and change that. Because that feeling of love and that excitement and what it gives you, it needed to be in there."
Scott has been with 'Rather Be' singer Jess Glynne since 2023, and previously opened up to The Sun about their relationship, and how she's going to miss her during her time in the jungle.
“Those quiet moments when your life’s 100mph, just coming home… she loves to cook, and we love to sit and have a glass of wine, I’ll most probably be watching football in the background," she said.
“I’m definitely going to miss that, especially when I’m so hungry."
