Antony has reached an agreement to leave Manchester United and is reportedly set to fly out to join his new club later today.
The Brazilian winger has struggled in Manchester since his arrival from Ajax back in 2022 for a fee of around £86m.
This amount certainly raised eyebrows at the time, and weighed heavily on the shoulders of the Erik ten Hag favourite, who never really fulfilled his price tag.
Fans had some hope for Antony after the arrival of Ruben Amorim and his five back system, suggesting he might better fit a wingback role.
However, it has now been reported that Antony is set to join Real Betis after he reached an agreement to leave Manchester United.
This comes as per a report by Fabrizio Romano who said that the 24-year-old from Sao Paulo has agreed every detail of the move.
The move is set to be just a loan deal until the end of the season with his salary shared between United and the Seville-based club.
The journalist wrote in a post on X: "Here we go confirmed: Antony travels to Sevilla tonight in order to join Real Betis from Man United!
"Green light after documents approved, loan move until June with NO buy back clause; salary shared."
Antony has made 96 appearances for the Red Devils, scoring 12 goals and assisting 5 and has won the League Cup and the FA Cup with the club, while for Ajax he had 46 goal contributions in 82 games.
Real Betis currently sit 12th in La Liga.
