Every summer the Gooners agonise over who their team will sign, reading far into every word uttered by either manager Arsene Wenger or any of their preferred targets. And you can't really blame them for worrying, considering last summer saw them fail to add a single senior outfield player to their ranks.
But this year will be different, just like every other year. This is the one where Arsenal finally kick on and lose their underachievers tag.
So when pictures emerged on Twitter of Barcelona midfielder Arda Turan wearing an Arsenal training top apparently giving his first interview for Arsenal TV, fans started to get excited that they had snapped up a bargain.

Having just been in Dublin for Barcelona's International Champions Cup win over Celtic, it's possible that the Turkish captain simply popped over to North London for a medical and to sign a contract.
But unfortunately for Arsenal fans, that doesn't seem to be the case. As one eagle-eyed supporter pointed out, the photos show Turan wearing last season's training gear.
