A club that for too long had been laughed at lifted off its knees and dared to touch greatness. A club that had been beaten down and had fingers stuck in its face said, "no more" and took a stand.
On a cold Tuesday night in Birmingham, on January 12, Aston Villa carved out its own destiny.
Aston Villa - the same Aston Villa they said were no good, finished - rose from the ashes and recorded their second win of the season. And they did it in well under 22 games. They did it with all of us saying they couldn't.
Suddenly, Villa are just eight points from safety with two derbies in a row coming up against Leicester and West Brom.
Suddenly, maybe... just maybe... actually no, they have no f**king chance.
It wouldn't stop them celebrating though. A famous 1-0 win over Crystal Palace wrote itself into the annals of history. It will be recalled in years from now in Villa folklore and they'll look back fondly on those bold days that they spent mingling amongst the big boys, and how they even rattled a few of them along the way.
So, to mark such a feat - such an unpredictable, unexpected, momentous feat - the club are selling collectors' items from their first home win of the season.
