Barcelona have signed a retired Premier League star in a long-rumoured move.
With Marc-Andre ter Stegen out for a prolonged period, Barcelona are in desperate need of a new goalkeeper.
In September, it was reported that Ter Stegen would spend months on the sidelines following a knee injury.
Inaki Pena was expected to play in his absence, however he has not impressed for Barcelona previously.
With the Catalonian giants in need of another keeper, the club looked to former, and now retired, Juventus and Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczęsny.
Today it was announced by Barcelona that the club had managed to tempt the shot-stopper out of retirement to sign a one year deal.
The Polish keeper will take his place between the sticks at Barca until the return of Ter Stegen.
Upon signing for the club he said: "Barcelona have a huge fanbase. I can see the passion of the fans."
