Sky Sports Italia claim that Godin has accepted the offer of a two-year contract from Inter which is also said to include the option of an additional year.
Godin came close to leaving Atleti for Manchester United in the summer, deciding against the move for personal reasons shortly before the transfer window closed to English clubs. United, reports at the time claimed, had gone as far as arranging for a private jet to bring the player to Manchester from Madrid for his medical.

If he does complete a move to Inter, he will be reunited with former defensive partner, Miranda, who made the same move from Madrid four years ago.
