Pasion Monumental journalist Hernan Castillo claims Aguero did not travel to Buenos Aires for Argentina's games against Uruguay and Venezuela because of an injury.

This has yet to be confirmed by the club or the Argentine FA.
If it is correct it could simply be a case of Aguero sitting out these international matches to ensure he is fit for the derby game, or it could be something more serious.
There is no word so far on the nature of Aguero's injury, though of course some fans had their own thoughts on that...
