After the home side conceded a third goal before half-time, a Celtic fan charged onto the pitch and attempted to kick Mbappe. The man missed with his kick, and was dragged off the pitch by stewards before being arrested. He was roundly booed by the home fans in Celtic Park as he was escorted from the stadium, and condemned on social media.
Uefa have opened disciplinary proceedings against Celtic, and, according to the BBC, the supporter has been banned from every ground in the United Kingdom for his attempt to kick Mbappe.

The match was televised, but the TV cameras didn't show the incident. However, footage of the fan attempting to kick Mbappe has emerged.
The incident has a cartoonish feel to it. The man appears to have come from the stand behind the goal, and can be seen running towards Mbappe, as everyone else on the pitch stands still.
Mbappe jumps to one side as the pitch invader tries to kick him, the crowd cheers and the man loses his balance as a steward tries to tackle him. He is then caught and held down as a chorus of boos ring around Celtic Park.
