The Ajax manager told Dutch media that he will "stay at Ajax for the (rest of the) season."
De Boer, who has won four Eredivisie titles in his five years in charge of Ajax, had only spoke about potentially taking a job in England last week.
"Liverpool and Newcastle - with supporters behind them - it is a fantastic environment to coach," De Boer said, "but this year it is important for me to do well at Ajax and then we will see."
The 45 year old also claimed that Liverpool had approached him before appointing Rodgers.
"Two years ago, I was very honoured that Liverpool asked me if I was interested in the job," he said in 2014. "There were still was other candidates also. But I just signed a new contract and I said you are too early at this moment."
However, it appears De Boer has missed his chance, and it's now Klopp's job to lose.
