Gareth Bale has insisted that there is absolutely no personal problems between him and Cristiano Ronaldo, after a few weeks of discontent at the "Abu Dhabi Bernabeu" *sigh*. Speaking on Spanish radio, Bale said that he hasn't spoke to Ronaldo about any ball-hogging antics, which caused him to get the stink eye from teammates and boos from his own fans. It all started back on January 4th, when Real lost 2-1 away to Valencia. Bale opted not to square the ball for Karim Benzema to tap into an empty net, prompting the death-stare from the Frenchman and Ronaldo. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bxUs__m9WHE&feature=player_embedded Things got a little heated a week later in the 3-0 defeat of Espanyol, when Bale again chose to go it alone when he had Ronaldo in support, prompting a few choice words from his teammate. But Bale dismissed there is any dispute between the pair, saying that what happens on the pitch, stays on the pitch. "All I can remember is going for the ball and feeling very focused on trying to score. I didn't see him, I think it would have been a difficult pass. I haven't spoken to Cristiano about not passing the ball.

"I don't know how much importance was given to it (by the media) but I'm sure people talk a lot about it. But it happens all the time on the football pitch in every team.

"We didn't speak about it at all. What happens on the pitch stays on the pitch and there's nothing personal after."

However, with Ronaldo suspended for Real's next two games after losing his temper at the weekend, Bale probably doesn't have to worry too much about passing to him for the next couple of weeks.
