Dortmund faced the French giants in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final and were the underdogs heading into the game however they stepped up.
Niclas Fullkrug's first-half goal was enough for the Bundesliga outfit to take a slender lead to Paris with them next week but it was all about Sancho.
Week-by-week Sancho has begun to look more and more impressive since returning to Dortmund on loan in January but Wednesday night was easily the England international's best performance.
Poor old Nuno Mendes will most likely be kept awake all night by the thought of Sancho running at him, leaving him behind as if he weren't there.
Sancho didn't get a goal or assist but was deservedly awarded the man of the match and people couldn't get enough of what they saw.
"Jadon Sancho is your sign that you should leave your toxic relationship," said one person on X.
"Jadon Sancho is cooking for Dortmund," wrote another.
A third said: "How good has Jadon Sancho been here? Absolutely unplayable.
"Jadon Sancho oh my god. Having the performance of his life. Robbed off about 4 assists tonight. MOTM by a clean Mile," added a fourth.
So far there isn't much to go off when it comes to Sancho's future however it's almost certain that it will be away from United.
The winger's relationship with Erik ten Hag is unlikely to be recovered however performances like this mean the Red Devils could recoup a lot of the fee paid for him.
Dortmund may well want to bring him back permanently and it's probably something Sancho isn't ruling out. He looks happy at the club and they clearly get the best out of him.
Another Premier League move maybe? Somewhere else in Europe? Time will tell but for now, it's nice to see the youngster enjoying himself again.
