Jeff Hendrick issues plea to Robbie Brady to come join him in the Premier League

The childhood mates could be reunited.

There is a lot of speculation right now about Robbie Brady's footballing future. Most believe that the 25-year-old should be playing in the Premier League and were surprised such a move failed to materialise during the summer. Well, it seems now that his return to the England's top tier could be imminent after reports suggest that Burnley have submitted a €15 million bid for the Dubliner's services. https://twitter.com/SportsJOEdotie/status/822468086553079808 Burnley are performing well in the Premier League at the moment and it would seem like a good move for Brady, especially considering Norwich City look unlikely to be promoted at the end of the season. The Canaries are currently 11th in the Championship, eight points behind Sheffield Wednesday, who occupy sixth and the final play-off spot. Jeff Hendrick would welcome having another friend at the club with the pair having played together at St. Kevin's Boys in their youth:

"For me personally it would be brilliant to have another friend here and I think he would help the squad as well," the Ireland midfielder told RTÉ Sport, "I text him a lot and talk to him every few days - we grew up together and I have known him since the age of seven - so we have a lot of different conversations."

Hendrick also says he hopes Brady sees his interview in the hope that it will further entice him to move to Turf Moor.

"He is a great player and everyone is saying how well he's done over the previous few years. But at the end of the day the decision is his - hopefully he will see this [interview] and see how much I want him to come."

If the deal goes through, Burnley will eclipse their current transfer record, which was broken when the club signed Hendrick in the summer for €12m. If signed, Brady would also join fellow Irish international, Stephen Ward, at the club.
