Jose Enrique has finally found a new club

Jose Enrique has come out of semi-retirement to sign for Real Zaragoza.

The former Liverpool defender, who was released at the end of last season, has signed a two-year deal with the Spanish second division side. Enrique didn't play a single minute of Premier League action last season, and featured just 12 times in total across the past three seasons after being a regular in his first two years on Merseyside. https://twitter.com/AnfieldHQ/status/773611914941308928 The 30-year-old originally fell out of favour with Brendan Rodgers, and couldn't find a way into the plans of Jurgen Klopp, despite Alberto Moreno appearing to do his best to earn his compatriot a recall. The Spanish full-back said last year that he wanted to stay at Anfield and fight for his place, and also admitted that he was reluctant to move clubs because he was unlikely to earn a similar wage in a different league, unless he signed for Real Madrid and Barcelona. "I had a very good option to return to Spain, but [it] is complicated because the economy is very different from what exists here," Enrique said.

"The only teams that can deal with what is paid in England are Real Madrid and Barcelona, so I would love to stay here until my legs stop me."
