After three seasons of mediocrity, United supporters are rubbing their hands at what this season has in store for their new-look side. All of a sudden United are being tipped to challenge for the league title again, something that has been well beyond them under David Moyes and Louis van Gaal.
While there's optimism that United can add to their record tally of 20 league titles, their strengthened side won't be getting anywhere near the Champions League final next May. A fifth place finish under Van Gaal at the back end of last season means that United will be in the Europa League, instead.
Just in case the excitement surrounding their world record signing had made them forget this, the official Europa League Twitter account reminded them on Thursday afternoon when it tweeted a picture of Pogba with United goalkeeper, David De Gea.
