Marcus Rashford wants to put pen to paper on a new deal with Manchester United following the appointment of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as full-time manager earlier this week. Sky Sports report that Rashford, who is said to be attracting attention from Barcelona, is keen to commit his future to United after holding several rounds of positive talks about a new deal. Though the 21-year-old considered leaving Old Trafford while Jose Mourinho was in charge, he is now eager to stay after playing a key role since Solskjaer's return to the club last December. A product of the United academy system, Rashford broke into the first team under Louis van Gaal in 2015 - scoring twice on his debut against Midtjylland in the Europa League. He has scored 44 goals in 161 appearances for United so far, the last of which coming in the recent FA Cup defeat to Wolves. United return to Premier League action when they host Watford on Saturday afternoon, buoyed by the news that Solskjaer has signed a three-year deal. Though the club seemed out of contention for a top four finish when the Norwegian took charge, they currently lie in fifth - just two points behind Arsenal. United also face Barcelona in their first Champions League quarter-final in five years next month. A last-gasp Rashford penalty saw them progress against Paris Saint-Germain, completing a stunning comeback after losing the first leg 2- 0 to the French champions.
