Nottingham Forest have been issued a huge fine by the Football Association for tweets posted by the official club account following the 2-0 loss at Everton in April last season.
A hugely important clash at the bottom end of the Premier League table last season, Forest felt that they were unfairly treated as three different penalty calls were not awarded, which could have proved crucial in the fight for league survival.
Both sides eventually retained their top-flight status, in expense of Burnley, Luton Town and Sheffield United, who are all now playing Championship football.
In one of the most viral and controversial tweets in football history, Nottingham Forest officials described the VAR official as a "Luton fan", in a post which has racked up a remarkable 46million views.
Now, the FA have issued a statement on the repercussions of the tweet, handing the club a sizeable £750k fine.
An official statement read:
"Nottingham Forest have been fined £750,000 and warned for misconduct in relation to comments posted on social media after their Premier League game against Everton on Sunday 21 April.
"The club denied that the comments posted on social media imply bias and/or question the integrity of the match officials and/or the video assistant referee and/or bring the game into disrepute.
"An independent Regulatory Commission found the charge to be proven following a hearing and imposed the club’s sanctions. Its written reasons for these decisions can be read in full below."
