Eventually the man himself, Obama not Robbie, appeared and paid tribute to the two LA teams on the visit, the NHL champion LA Kings and the Galaxy.
Obama paid tribute to the Galaxy for three titles in four years and had a special shout out to League MVP Robbie Keane before saying some fine words about Robbie Rogers.
Obama then posed for pictures with Robbie before the two had a chat.
