After the latest international break wrapped - with Conor Bradley scoring his first goal for Northern Ireland, Jude Bellingham coming to England's rescue, Ireland looked after by interim boss John O'Shea, Scotland stuttering and Wales missing out on Euro 2024 - the Premier League is back.

One of the first Premier League coaches up for press conference duty was Newcastle United boss Eddie Howe. He was asked quite a few questions about midfielder Sandro Tonali, who is currently serving a 10-month ban for gambling breaches, and now facing additional sanctions.
"We don't know is the honest answer [about whether his ban will be extended]," Howe told the BBC. "I certainly hope for Sandro that there is no further consequences. He has suffered during this period.
"He has trained really well, and his English has improved. He has the support of his team-mates. I am positive about his comeback whenever that is."
