Richarlison hits out at Antonio Conte following Spurs’ Champions League exit

The Spurs forward voiced his frustrations following the game.

Richarlison has delivered a damning review of Tottenham Hotspur’s season. The Brazil forward also criticised his manager, Antonio Conte. Richarlison was speaking after Spurs crashed out of the Champions League against AC Milan. Tottenham lost the first leg 1-0 at the San Siro, and played out a goalless draw in the second leg on Wednesday night. Richarlison did not start the game and voiced his frustrations following the match. "When I enter the field, I give my life. I came from two games well, I think that's it, I think I should have played and I don't have to cry about it." The 25-year-old started Spurs' recent wins over West Ham and Chelsea but has yet to score a league goal for his new team. He was unhappy about not starting the match against Milan. "It was going well, in a good sequence, two wins against West Ham and Chelsea. Suddenly, he put me on the bench, against Wolverhampton he put me on for five minutes. I asked why. They didn’t tell me anything. "Yesterday, they asked me to take a test at the gym, that if I was good I would go to the game and, at the time of the game, they left me on the bench", Richarlison said the candid interview. "These are the things that it is not possible to understand. Let’s see what he [Conte] will say tomorrow, but there are no fools here either, I’m a professional, I work every day and I want to play. There are minutes left, time left."
