Rio Ferdinand nails it with two statements about Arsenal

Arsene Wenger appears to be in the final few months of his reign as Arsenal manager.

The Frenchman has had probably his worst week as Arsenal manager, and it's difficult to see how he can come back from this. Following consecutive 3-0 defeats to Manchester City in the space of a few days, Wenger's team played Brighton and Hove Albion on Sunday, and desperately needed a win to turn around their poor run of form. However, not only did Arsenal lose 2-1 to the newly-promoted team, they put in one of their worst displays in recent times in the opening 40 minutes  - which is saying something considering their performance against City at Wembley last Sunday in the Carabao Cup final. Lewis Dunk and Glenn Murray got the goals for Brighton, and although Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang pulled a goal back for Arsenal before half-time, Wenger's side couldn't find a goal in the second-half. AC Milan in the Europa League are next up for the Gunners, and if they crash out of that tournament, it wouldn't be a surprise to see Wenger depart before the end of the season. Rio Ferdinand summed-up Arsenal's woes with two tweets on Sunday. Unlike Wenger, who was one of the best managers in the world, Rio knew when his time was up.
