Roy Keane is an ex-Celtic player of course; the club offering him a playing lifeline after his exit from Old Trafford over ten years ago.
The Corkman is out of contract at present with Ireland after the end of the European Championships, and fans today have put 2+2 together.
Unfortunately, Keane's math skill is a bit sharper than all of ours, and when asked at a special event in Cork this morning, it seems very much as the Celtic job is low on his list of priorities.
Keane was asked if he was interested in the job, and his answer was as curt as you'd expect from a man who doesn't 'do' speculation.

The morning's action also saw a light-hearted moment at the top table involving Keane, and his mobile phone.

It seems as Charlie Nicholas dream will not come true after all.
