RTE announce punditry team for World Cup and release stunning promo

RTE have announced their punditry team for the World Cup, which gets underway on Thursday, June 14.

Regular contributors Liam Brady, Damien Duff, Eamon Dunphy, Didi Hamann and Richie Sadlier will be on our screens throughout the tournament, alongside some familiar faces from the world of football. Keith Andrews, Richard Dunne and Shay Given, all former Republic of Ireland internationals, will be part of the punditry team, as will Michael O’Neill, the Northern Ireland manager. RTE also announced that Hope Solo, goalkeeper for the United States women’s national team, will be a pundit on their coverage. Solo has won 202 caps for the US team and was part of the side that won the World Cup in 2015. Jim Beglin, Ray Houghton, Brian Kerr and Ronnie Whelan will be on co-commentary duty. The broadcaster will have live coverage of all 64 games from the tournament in Russia across RTE2, RTE News Now and the RTE Player.
