Six clubs are looking to sign Robbie Brady, and it’s clear who he should join

We have been here before with Robbie Brady.

Brady was linked with several clubs last summer and looked certain to make an instant return to the Premier League after Norwich City were relegated. The Republic of Ireland star had attracted interest from Leicester City, West Ham and Everton after impressing at Euro 2016. Yet, he remained at Norwich. The Championship side priced him out of a move as clubs refused to pay £16m for the player signed from Hull for £7m the previous summer. According to The Eastern Daily Press, Norwich are now prepared to accept £12m for the 24-year-old. (The Championship also owe Hull City 25 percent of any fee they received for Brady). This has alerted a number of clubs. Sam Allardyce has openly stated he is looking to sign a left-back. "Somebody like Robbie Brady, I would say yes," the Crystal Palace manager said.

"Anybody like that, if the club says they are available."

And Leicester will reportedly renew their pursuit of the player. It's very difficult to make a case for Brady to join Swansea. Just as it's very difficult to argue that the Welsh team will be in the Premier League next season. Leicester could offer Champions League football, for two games at least. But they will never replicate last season's heroics. Burnley appear on-course to stay in the Premier League, so they would be a decent move. Brady would also play alongside Jeff Hendrick and Stephen Ward, his international teammates, at Turf Moor. https://twitter.com/SportsJOEdotie/status/808449356345069574 However, out of all the clubs reportedly interested, Newcastle United would arguably be the best bet for Brady. Rafa Benitez's side have suffered a slight dip in form recently. They've lost two of their last three games and are in second place in the Championship. However, they are still on-course for an instant return to the Premier League. Newcastle also looking to be building a squad capable of thriving in the top flight when they return. And Benitez is still an excellent coach, who could help develop Brady's game tactically. Momentum is a big thing in football. Promotion could set them up for a strong season in the Premier League next season, and they will undoubtedly invest in new players in the summer. Villa would be another interesting move. They are traditionally a big club and Steve Bruce will surely get them promoted. But it doesn't look like that will happen this season. Newcastle looks like the most interesting option out of the clubs reportedly interested.
