It's not so much their 3-1 defeat at the Camp Nou that irked the ex-Man United man, but more the players' mentality in general. Keane feels that they are "weak" and "cheating" the fans:
"It tells you that they’ve got a weak group of players, who can’t seem to lift it for certain games. No doubt the pressure has got to them in the last few months and for players at Arsenal football club who can’t deal with pressure, then you shouldn’t be there." "Tonight the damage was already obviously done in the first game...it must be hard for the manager to stomach that, and for the supporters when they see their players lift it for certain games, but they can’t do it for Watford at home, or Swansea at home. "They’re cheating the supporters in that sense."Strong words indeed. But for the viewing public watching at home, it was not so much what the Irish legend said that caught their attention, but more how he looked saying it. Keane was sporting a pair of spectacles and an especially thick two-tone beard. It made for a very striking look, and of course the internet was going to have its fun... https://twitter.com/UnderdogBlog1/status/710242727145967620 https://twitter.com/pjaw5/status/710241537012146176 https://twitter.com/kmv101/status/710254299201155072 https://twitter.com/SeanPaulKearns/status/710377992367808512 https://twitter.com/kpsundayworld/status/710247619461775360 https://twitter.com/Dean_Ellis_/status/710378003197460480 https://twitter.com/Crazy_Cole79/status/710247795173801985 https://twitter.com/samuelluckhurst/status/710241582444879872
