Republic of Ireland forward Tom Cannon is set for a £10m (€12m) transfer to Championship promotion-chasing Sheffield United.
The Ireland striker was recalled by Leicester City last week from his loan move at Stoke City.
But rather than keep the 22-year-old to aid in their Premier League survival battle, boss Ruud van Nistelrooy has decided he would rather cash out.
A fee has been agreed between the two sides, and it is a positive move for Cannon, with the Blades currently lying in second place in the Championship.
The English-born forward had been in good form for Stoke, with nine league goals so far this season.
Everton - who sold Cannon to the Foxes for £7.5 million in 2023 - will receive 20% of the transfer fee, which is a record for an Irish player moving to a Championship side.
Cannon has made two appearances for the Ireland senior team and will be looking to stake a claim ahead of the UEFA Nations League relegation/promotion playoff, and FIFA World Cup qualifiers this year.
In other Irish transfer news, goalkeeper Mark Travers is set for a loan move from Bournemouth to Championship side Middlesborough.
The 25-year-old has made five starts for the Cherries in the Premier League this season, but a regular run of games for Michael Carrick's team - seventh in the league - could force him into international contention alongside Caoimhín Kelleher and Gavin Bazunu.
