Ultras planning to attack referee during Spain match, warn Croatian police

The French authorities have been issued a warning over more crowd trouble during Croatia's Euro 2016 clash against Spain on Tuesday night.

A group of Croatian ultras disrupted last Friday's game against the Czech Republic by throwing flares onto the field. Croatia were on their way to scoring a 2-1 win when the incident happened with one flare exploding in the face of a steward who was trying to clear the pitch. Croatia were fined €100,000 and may very well have dropped two points over the incident. The group are planning an attack on referee Bjorn Kuijpers, according to president of the Croatian Police Union, Nikola Kajkic.
