VIDEO: Jose Mourinho challenges Chelsea to sack him after Southampton loss

Life is never dull when Jose Mourinho is around.

The Chelsea manager saw his side lose once again tonight, their worst run of results at the start of the season since 37 years ago when they were relegated from the old First Division. The Premier League champions slumped to a 3-1 defeat to Southampton, with defensive mistakes and a lack of energy leading to yet another disappointing night at Stamford Bridge. The Chelsea manager was asked just one question by the SKY reporter after the game and in a seven minute rant the Portuguese blamed the referee for his club's failure to win the match,

"The referees are afraid to give decision for Chelsea. I repeat, if the FA want to punish me, they don't punish other managers. But I want to repeat because I think my players deserve it, Chelsea fans deserve it, I'm a Chelsea fan too." "I want to say again, refs are afraid to give decisions for Chelsea." Why? Because when they give they are questions from you (the media) and there is always a question, there is always a critic. We are always punished because Diego Costa is suspended because of images  in other matches and it doesn't happen in other matches..

Mourinho is currently going through the worst period of his managerial career, and his second spell at Chelsea, but has hit out at those who are hoping that he may leave the club.

"One, I don't run away. Two, if the club wants to sack me, they have to sack me because I am not running away from my responsibility from my team and from my conviction that to be champions is always very difficult. But I am convinced we will finish top four." "Third, even more important I think this is a crucial moment in the history of this club. Because you know why? Because if the club sacks me they sack the best manager this club ever had and the message is once again the same message of  'bad result the manager is guilty.' "This is the message that not just these player but that other before they got during a decade." "I think this is a moment for everybody to assume their responsibilities.  I assume mine, I think the players should assume their responsibility and I think there are  other people in the club who should assume their responsibilities  and stick together. This is what I want."
