Yes, Harry Redknapp did use the ‘O’ word about Manchester City

Manchester City went six straight league matches without dropping points at the start of this Premier League season.

Having done so, the general consensus was that Pep Guardiola's side would finish 2016/17 as Premier League as champions. A few weeks after their last Premier League win - a 3-1 win away at Swansea - and things have changed slightly. A convincing display from Tottenham saw City fall to a 2-0 loss at White Hart Lane. Returning from the international break, City followed that with a 1-1 draw at home to Everton - missing two penalties in the process. All of a sudden, not everyone is quite so sure that City will finish the season on top of the pile. One of those is Harry Redknapp, who explained on BT Sport's Premier League Tonight show that he felt that City may have been "overrated" in the early weeks of the season.

"I think we've overrated Man City this year," Redknapp said. "Everyone thought 'Yeah man City, they're going to walk away with the league.' "They're not going to walk away with the league. They're a top team for sure, but there's another five teams that have all got a chance this year of winning the league. It's wide open and there are no certainties by any means."

City, who Everton boss incidentally described as the best team he'd faced in his managerial career, now face Barcelona in the Champions League on Wednesday night before returning to league action against Southampton next weekend. Catch up with the latest episode of Football Friday Live
