Fourteen members of the All-Ireland winning Clare senior hurling team have been shortlisted for an All-Star.
The Banner County beat Cork in the final to lift the Liam McCarthy Cup again for the first time since 2013.
The Clare men make up almost a third of the 45 nominations, with eight counties represented in total.
All-Ireland runners-up Cork received 10 nominations, Limerick have nine, Kilkenny four, with Waterford, Wexford, Dublin and Antrim all having two players nominated.
Shane O’Donnell will battle it out with Darragh Fitzgibbon (Cork) and Kyle Hayes (Limerick) for Hurler of the Year.
Adam Hogan (Clare), Eoin Downey (Cork) and Cathal O’Neill (Limerick) are up for young hurler of the year.
Midfielder Cathal Malone is the only member of Brian Lohan's title-winning side that didn't receive an All-Star nomination.
Clare skipper Tony Kelly would become the most decorated Clare player in All-Star history if he wins his fifth All-Star when the ceremony takes place on Friday 1 November.
Goalkeepers: Patrick Collins (Cork), Nickie Quaid (Limerick), Eibhear Quilligan (Clare).
Defenders: Adam Hogan (Clare), Conor Cleary (Clare), Conor Leen (Clare), Diarmuid Ryan (Clare), John Conlon (Clare), David McInerney (Clare), Eoin Downey (Cork), Robert Downey (Cork), Ciaran Joyce (Cork), Dan Morrissey (Limerick), Kyle Hayes (Limerick), Barry Nash (Limerick), Huw Lawlor (Kilkenny), David Blanchfield (Kilkenny), Calum Lyons (Waterford), Tadhg de Burca (Waterford), Chris Crummey (Dublin), Paddy Burke (Antrim).
Midfielders: Darragh Fitzgibbon (Cork), Tim O’Mahony (Cork), Tony Kelly (Clare), Cathal O’Neill (Limerick), Conor Burke (Dublin), Cian Kenny (Kilkenny).
The Gaelic football All-Star shortlist was revealed yesterday, with one surprise omission from that list.
Galway’s flying wing back Dylan McHugh – the frontrunner for Footballer of the Year going into the All-Ireland final – was left out of the nominations.
McHugh’s evolution in recent years has been admired by many, and some feel a nomination alone would have been a great commendation for all of his hard work and determination.
All-Ireland champions Armagh raked in 11 nominations, while All-Ireland finalists Galway nabbed eight spots and Ulster champions Donegal boast a haul of seven.

Cork boss not pleased with ‘hypocritical’ ref behaviour from Limerick manager
A bit of needle…. There was a bit of needle between Cork boss Ben O’Connor and Limerick gaffer John Kiely after today’s Munster final at Páirc Uí Chaoimh. O’Connor was clearly not pleased with some of the behaviour from Kiely, and perhaps some decisions from the officials. And the Rebels manager did admit that things […]

Limerick star makes controversial statement of intent after Munster final win
A big statement! Following their Munster SHC final win over Cork, the Limerick players celebrated passionately on the pitch at Páirc Uí Chaoimh. You could tell the win meant more than usual, after losing to the Rebels in last year’s final and in the round-robin stage this season. One Treaty player, however, went above and […]
