Galway star Shane Walsh tweets that he is “baffled” as to why the Ladies All-Ireland club final isn’t in Croke Park

"Every other senior final is played there."

On Saturday 29th January, the biggest game in the ladies football calendar will be taking place. The holders Mourneabbey, from Cork, and Galway's Kilkerrin-Clonberne will be played at St Brendan’s Park, Birr, with throw in scheduled for 1pm. What stands out about that information however, is the location, for although St Brendan’s Park is fantastic pitch, everyone who loves the game, knows that there's only place an All-Ireland final should be. That place is of course Croke Park, where the men's club semi-finals will be taking place, and where the Leinster and semis and final already occurred. Shane Walsh, who stars for the Galway team that just claimed the FBD league and are preparing for their National League opener against Meath, took to Twitter to vent his frustration.

Finalists Kilkerrin-Clonberne, is also the home club of Walsh, and as he stated he will be supporting them wherever the match is played. This game will be a repeat of the 2019 final between the sides, which was won by Mourneabbey at the TUS Gaelic Grounds in Limerick by a single point. Both Walsh and Kilkerrin-Clonberne, will be looking for revenge time around.
