However, The Rebels really put it up to the The Kingdom, especially in the first half, and big performances from Steven Sherlock, Sean Powter, and Cathail O'Mahoney saw them go into half time with just a two point deficit.
A big changing point was when the home goalkeeper Micheal Martin, had to come off with an injury, and young Dylan Foley was rushed into an unexpected championship debut.
The young keeper made a terrific save to prevent what looked like a sure-fire goal from David Clifford, but unfortunately he struggled with the kick outs, especially when David Moran came on and dominated the middle.
In the end, The Rebels just ran out of steam, and Kerry won by 12 points, a comfortable lead that didn't tell the full story.

A bit of needle…. There was a bit of needle between Cork boss Ben O’Connor and Limerick gaffer John Kiely after today’s Munster final at Páirc Uí Chaoimh. O’Connor was clearly not pleased with some of the behaviour from Kiely, and perhaps some decisions from the officials. And the Rebels manager did admit that things […]

You could tell the win meant more than usual, after losing to the Rebels in last year’s final and in the round-robin stage this season. One Treaty player, however, went above and […]
