Gardaí have launched an investigation after trespassers vandalised Trump International Golf Links & Hotel Doonbeg, in County Clare.
The Donald Trump-owned golf course is one of the highest rated in the country, and is a crucial component of the area's industry.
The Irish Independent have reported that three vandals broke into the golf course, dug up two greens and planted Palestinian flags.
A statement from the Trump organisation said: “This was a childish, criminal act but the incredible team at Trump Doonbeg will ensure it does not impact business.
“We have the greatest course anywhere in the world and we are so proud of the tremendous success and we look forward to a great season ahead."
Despite the damage, the manager of the complex, Joe Russell, said: "It’s business as usual this weekend."
The incident happened just hours after President Trump met with Taoiseach Micheál Martin, during which the POTUS discussed his "big property in Ireland", describing it as one of "the most highly rated hotels in Europe".
This follows last week's attack on Trump's renowned Turnberry course in Scotland, which saw greens dug up and red paint thrown on the clubhouse.
