We're no doctors, but we'd be fairly sure that a ruptured ankle ligament would make playing in a major golf tournament almost impossible. Sure, Tiger Woods played the 2008 US Open with a broken leg, but this injury to Rory McIlroy looks pretty serious just two weeks out for the British Open.
