Woods was arrested on 29 May after being found asleep at the wheel of his car, before failing a sobriety test. The American released a statement the following day in which he claimed "full responsibility" for the incident.
The 14-time major winner has not played since February and recently released an injury update on his website revealing that he underwent fusion surgery and that he hasn't "felt this good in years."
Inevitably, there was a good deal of surmise in the aftermath of the incident, because of the particular grimness of Woods' mugshot, and the fact that he has not won a Golf competition since 2013.
His troubled personal life has been under the spotlight in the last few years and this is just another of those events which lead many to believe that Woods golf career has reached a point of no return.

Kaymer feels that Woods deserves more from the golfing public, that people shouldn't be so quick to jump on his back.
"He inspired kids, teenagers; he inspired all of us,'' Kaymer said.
Former golfing legends Jack Nicklaus and Gary Player also referenced Tiger's need for support during his current struggles.
