Two third place finishes on final day on the track

Sport has a habit of messing up the best laid plans and today despite every good wish in the world AP McCoy could not saddle a winner at Sandown. His penultimate race saw him finish third on Mr Mole in the bet 365 AP McCoy Celebration race while in his final ever ride he could only coax Box Office also to third placed finish. The crowds applauded long and loud one of sports true gentlemen as he took his bow  just hours after claiming the final Champion Jockey title of his glittering career.
