What started when my sister recklessly decided to tie the knot on Arc weekend the year Sea The Stars had his legendary triumph, has continued, and in 2015 alone, the white invites have arrived for Guineas weekend; the Irish Derby; and today rather than be glued to one of the most scintillating Oaks in recent years, I'll be watching another thoroughbred filly stretch up the final furlong of singledom.
Thankfully, as I found out in Adare earlier this month, some churches have excellent wifi, so fingers crossed, do let's get down to business.
Ryan Moore, the most likeable and intriguing grump in the business reunites with Legatissimo following their 1000 Guineas win, but the ambiguity of his response when asked about how she'd suit today's test in the post-race interview after that Newmarket victory has planted a seed of doubt in my mind as to wether she'll justify her market lead.
If money talks, Crystal Zveda must be electrifying the gallops at home as she's been incredibly lively antepost.
Jessica Harington's Jack Naylor made a more than pleasing reappearance in the Irish 1000 Guineas when fourth and the added distance will suit, while Diamondsandrubies shone in a very wet Cheshire Oaks.
Unlike my newlywed friends, I'm finding it difficult to commit here, but I'm leaning towards a horse that very much took my eye in York.
Together Forever was a good second when giving weight away to Star Of Seville in the Muisidora and I think she'll come on from the run.
As with life "Together Forever" wouldn't be the safest of bets but worth a small gamble on the track at least!
Happy punting
