The result of the race will still stand, but Ruby has been issued with a two day suspension for his excessive use of the whip up the run in.

Ruby backers will be breathing a sigh of relief that the suspension doesn't come into play until after the festival is over. It is expected that he will miss out on riding on March 27 and 28.

Paddy Mullins, son of Willie, also received a ban for his winning ride on Rathvinden in the following race, the National Hunt Challenge Cup Amateur Riders' Novices' Chase.
