Video: Jockey drives horse to victory but forgets there’s another lap to race

A horse race is never over until you hit the line, but this jockey got a little bit ahead of himself.

Enders Cat made a bold bid for home under Gerardo Corrales, streaking to the finish line for what he thought was a shock 80-1 victory at Florida's Gulfstream Park on New Year's Day. The duo surged to what Corrales thought was an eight-length win but got a rude awakening when he was rejoined by the rest of the horses as he eased off around the bend.
