Conor McGregor believes he has already defeated Jose Aldo

Conor McGregor admits he doesn't expect Jose Aldo to show up for take two of their featherweight title fight at UFC 194.

Everyone knows the story at this stage. Conor McGregor was set to take on King Aldo for the most anticpated featherweight title fight in UFC history at UFC 189. The champion fractured his rib and the Notorious knocked out Chad Mendes to claim the interim strap. However, McGregor had been launching an incessant verbal assault against the Brazilian during the intensive world media tour to promote the event, and the trash-talk only intensified when Aldo "went running". The fight was subsequently rescheduled for the MGM Grand on December 12, but the Dubliner firmly believes that his mental warfare has already defeated Aldo, he revealed to GQ.

"What are you talking about? I have beaten him already. He is dead." "Look at his body language. His body is weak and his mind is weaker. I can smell the lack of confidence. If the mind is not in it, the body won't follow."

Aldo hasn't lost an MMA fight in 10 years and is the UFC's first and only champion of the 145 lb division. He's defeated everyone the promotion has thrown at him including Frankie Edgar, Urijah Faber (twice) and the Korean Zombie, but McGregor doesn't see himself being added to Aldo's impressive collection of scalps.

"He cannot beat me. He knows it. It's why he went running last time... I can hear it in his voice, I can see it in his eyes, I know when a man is beaten, and he is beaten mentally."

He added that he firmly believes Aldo won't even show up, a prediction he is confident in considering his track record.

"I still don't think he will show. I am trying to be optimistic but I am never wrong, I always predict the outcome of my fights and I am never wrong."

Aldo v McGregor will headline UFC 194 on December 12 with a highly anticipated middleweight title fight between Chris Weidman and Luke Rockhold providing the co-main on the stacked card.
