Conor McGregor hastily deletes tweet about Friday’s chaos at Bellator Dublin

It was only up for about a minute.

Conor McGregor broke his silence on Friday night's incident in the 3Arena as he took to Twitter to explain his altercation with British referee Marc Goddard and a Bellator staff member. McGregor's SBG teammate Charlie Ward had just stopped John Redmond at the end of the first round of their fight at Bellator 187 when 'The Notorious' leapt from his cageside seat, scaled the cage and confronted Goddard for not calling a halt to the bout earlier. https://twitter.com/SportsJOEdotie/status/929095318112784385 Footage soon emerged of the UFC lightweight champion striking an employee from the Bellator promotion who was attempting to stop him from entering the cage. It was a sorry sight and one which could lead to significant trouble for McGregor. Well McGregor doesn't exactly seem overly contrite about the incident as he took to Twitter to explain why he'd lost the rag. "Bloke KO'd on floor bout a minute straight and ref trying to say fights not over Conor. That's when I lost it. Fuck yous all," McGregor wrote. The tweet was only up a matter of seconds before it was promptly deleted in an attempt at backtracking not unlike the king which was frequently used by former UFC light heavyweight Jon Jones, who was known to often delete contentious social media posts.
