Conor McGregor finally responds to UFC 223 pull-out

Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz may have some ring rust in the trash talk department.

When Tony Ferguson pulled out of UFC 223, a Conor McGregor reaction was inevitable. Considering all the 'McNuggets' and 'defend or vacate' jabs from "El Cucuy," a fiery response was expected. Nate Diaz even beat him to the punch, even though the Stockton native's take wasn't exactly the finest trash talk of his career. McGregor had more of a reason to fire back though. Rival Max Holloway, who has consistently held his ground in the verbal sparring matches, is gunning for his legacy. The Hawaiian steps in on six days' notice to become the second man to hold two UFC belts simultaneously. The straps in question, just so happen to be the ones McGregor had wrapped around each shoulder to complete the same feat in 2016. And let's not forget about who Holloway is facing.
