‘Cowboy’ Cerrone continues on his merry way through the UFC’s welterweight division

Donald Cerrone isn't just putting anyone away at welterweight.

He's putting some of the most durable fighters in the world away... at welterweight. The former UFC lightweight challenger moved to 3-0 in his new home of 170 lbs and has yet to require the judges' decision. Cerrone's adventure continued on Saturday night when he finished Rick Story on the main card of UFC 202. After a back-and-forth opening stanza, 'Cowboy' opened up with his crisp striking in the second round and Story couldn't withstand a picture-perfect combination of a jab, right to the body and precise head kick.

Cerrone maintained the onslaught on his backed-up opponent and gave referee Herb Dean no choice but to wave it off. But 'Cowboy' insists that he is to put his welterweight escapades on hold for a while as he detailed who he wants next. "I've got a thing I've got to go do at 155 lbs," Cerrone said after the fight. "Eddie Alvarez, you've got something that belongs to me. "Let's go. Madison Square Garden, me and Eddie. How about that?" We like it, sir.
