Donald Cerrone set to continue his spree of quick turnarounds as Denver wish is granted

In case you didn't notice, Donald Cerrone doesn't like to hang about.

For the fourth year running, 'Cowboy' has got four fights under his belt from January to December and maintained his reputation as one of the most game fighters on the UFC roster. The recent welterweight convert is loving life at 170lbs, with his knockout of Matt Brown on Saturday night his fourth consecutive victory in that weight class. https://twitter.com/SportsJOEdotie/status/808038397138890753 All four of those wins have come inside the distance and it would appear that Cerrone has turned the corner since being stopped by Rafael dos Anjos when the lightweight title was on the line last December. It seems that in every post-fight interview, Cerrone has a date and opponent in mind for his next outing and it's never more than a few weeks away. That trend continued on Saturday night when the 33-year-old issued a call-out for the whole division, inviting any taker to share the Octagon with him on January 28 in his native Colorado. https://twitter.com/Cowboycerrone/status/808750303700844545?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw Initially, 'Cowboy' suggested that he wanted to fight grappling wizard Demian Maia in what would presumably act as an unofficial title eliminator for the welterweight championship. But those plans have changed and it would now appear that he's set to compete against a man who, like him, used to fight at lightweight. MMA Fighting's Ariel Helwani reports that Cerrone is set to meet Jorge Masvidal at UFC on FOX 23 next month.
