A keen fight fan, Affleck would surely have been interested in tuning in to watch what would undoubtedly be the greatest combat sports spectacle in history, should the bout come to fruition, but now that he has a financial interest in the company, we can understand why he's all the more eager for it to take place under the UFC's promotional banner, even though it would be contested under boxing rules.
Affleck joined the likes of Tom Brady, Jimmy Kimmel and Mark Wahlberg in snapping up some shares when the UFC was sold by the Fertitta brothers last July.
