Frankie Edgar’s coach believes Conor McGregor’s featherweight title run was fraudulent

Mark Henry is definitely lead attack dog for Frankie Edgar.

While 'The Answer' goes about his business suavely, his coach does most of the trash-talking. Henry has likened Conor McGregor to a spoilt child - for his insistence on a Nate Diaz rematch - and has claimed the Dubliner has consistently ducked his man. https://twitter.com/SportsJOEdotie/status/725073536759566337 Henry's latest gripe is about McGregor's path to the featherweight title his has held since December 2015 but has yet to defend. In an interview with MMA Junkie Radio, Henry said:

"In the military, I think it would be a good job for Conor (clearing) landmines. Somehow he missed Darren Elkins, somehow he missed Clay Guida, somehow he missed Dennis Bermudez, somehow he missed Ricardo Lamas, somehow he missed Chad Mendes with a full camp. Somehow he missed Frankie. "Fraud. That's been his path. Frankie's gone a different path."

McGregor defeated Marcus Brimage, Max Holloway, Diego Brandao, Dustin Poirier and Dennis Siver before getting his title shot against Jose Aldo. None of those men were ranked in the top five. Aldo pulled out of UFC 189 with a fractured rib so McGregor put No.1 ranked Mendes away to claim an interim belt. He unified the belts by knocking Aldo out after only 13 seconds. Edgar will finally get his pop at McGregor if he beats Aldo at UFC 200.
