Can anyone stop Gregor Gillespie?

Five fights into his UFC tenure and Gregor Gillespie is still unbeaten. 'The Gift" improved his professional record to 12-0 with a dominant submission victory over Vinc Pichel in UFC Utica's co-main event. The victory came via submission at the 4:06 mark of the second round.

Gillespie set the tone from the get-go, completing a single-leg takedown with ease. After pushing Pichel to the fence, Gillespie went for a front choke. Pichel stood back up when Gillespie tried to take his back, but it wasn't long before he was back on the mat again. This trend of getting back to the feet before being dragged to the ground continued in the first. Gillespie had an anaconda choke attempt late, but Pichel was saved by the bell.

It only took 20 seconds for Gillespie to score a takedown in the second round. He moved into side control before pouncing on Pichel's back as he tried to escape. Each time Pichel tried to get up, he was hauled back down. Eventually, Gillespie locked in an arm-triangle choke from half-guard, forcing the tap. He was awarded the fifth submission victory of his career at the 4:06 mark of the second. "It's not what I do"

After the fight, Gillespie refused to call anyone out. All he's worried about for the next couple of days is getting some fishing in and supporting his teammate, undefeated PFL champion Andre Harrison.

“I don’t call people out. It’s not what I do. All I’m thinking about right now is fishing tomorrow and fishing the next day. I’ll be fishing until my training partner fights at Madison Square Garden next week, and then I’m going to go and support him."

Gillespie received a 10-8 first round on two of the three judges' scorecards. Not that it mattered too much in the end.
