If you want to give Dana White a good laugh, just ask him about Georges St-Pierre’s comeback

December 13 will mark two years since Georges St-Pierre vacated his UFC welterweight title.

The Canadian [25-2] opened the door to a return when he stepped away from the promotion. Two years on and although that door has not been closed, UFC president Dana White does not buy into the latest comeback talk. Ahead of UFC Dublin, Rory MacDonald, who trains with GSP at the Tri Star gym, suggested the former P4P king may come back for super-fights, rather than contest for belts. A recently organised training camp with boxing coach Freddie Roach added fuel to the speculative flames. However, White told Los Angeles Times, "I highly doubt it's going to happen because GSP's been off for too long and has a ton of money. "You don't do a six-week camp to learn if you have the hunger. You either know it or not. [UFC welterweight champion] Robbie Lawler knows it; he's hungry, he trains like an animal.

"You're either hungry and an animal or you're not."

The possibility of the 34-year-old returning would add much interest to a 2016 series of events that should be the biggest in the promotions history, including a possible Conor McGregor bout at Croke Park and UFC 200 at the new, 20,000-seat Las Vegas Arena. White added, "It'd be great if he comes back, yes. I love Georges St-Pierre - amazing athlete - but comeback talk? "I laugh at it. To be a world champion, you have to be hungry.

"That's not GSP. Not even close."
