UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo[/caption]
Fight fans would naturally presume that the mysterious announcement would be a cross-divisional super fight against either bantamweight champion TJ Dillashaw or lightweight champ Anthony Pettis but Aldo isn't so sure that either will have UFC gold around their waist come summertime.
"It would be a dream to unify belts in other divisions, but Renan Barao is in his prime now and will beat him Dillashaw]. As far as unifying belts in other divisions, I made that request many times but it was never granted. I would deserve that first," Aldo laughed.
"Rafael [Dos Anjos] is showing a great evolution lately, and I believe he has the tools to beat Pettis," Aldo added.
"I really expect that, because Brazil never had a champion in that division."
Whatever plans he might have, Aldo has the very real challenge of Conor McGregor ahead of him first and The Notorious would be more than willing to send the Brazilian out of the featherweight division without a belt to his name.
